What breed is it?
Cashmere
Wow, his eyes look all lit up! (Literally)
This is why I’m obsessed with cashmere, I went to a farm and the goats came running and rolled over to have their bellies brushed. They were older and had been combed many times so they just thought “oh! it’s spa day.” 🥺
This video answered a lot of my questions. Very well made. Thank you. I hope your farm is still doing well.
Thank you!
The female was like" can we have a bit of privacy, this human is a perv trying to film us. I don't be hopping on her bed watching her getting piped by her male species!"
Thank you so much for the great information 🐐🐐🐐
He must be stinking 😂
Title to a TV series. Saw this behavior in the clubs around the late 79’s
I would love to see some technices or how you separate the wool from the dirty wool
Thank you for this video! It is very obvious you love your animals and care greatly for them :)
What Goat Breed is he?
He is a cashmere goat
We just experienced this today with our billy he was quite comical but we have been waiting for him to be in rut and our ladies to be in heat !
It is fun to watch!
Absolutely beautiful
That was educative. Thanks.
Hiw big are your goats?
Females are about 70 lbs, males 100 lbs
Good afternoon. I am considering using goats for clearing undergrowth on a large property. How are Cashmere goats at this task? I am not interested in milking goats as they would be browsing whatever is there, including poison ivy. The Cashmere goat is appealing due the thick coat and the presence of a lot of briar. My daughter asked about harvesting wool and you make this look pretty easy.
Cashmere goats would be great for clearing brush!
Seems simple compared to ours. We have to approach and ask for numbers, face countless rejections ... even if we make it to a 5th date still rejections..... they have a simpler dating game 😂
Eight years ago 😆 are you still breeding and milling cashmere wool and goat's❓ This was really sweet and you really took the time to explain what's important. It is a fragile process and this was gentle, kind and efficient for your little sweet and precious plooms🐐it was lovely to see the process not being a disturbing, massive production line. Milling cashmere goat's is something I feel compassionate for and I thank you for sharing your flock and your wonderfully put knowledge. 🙏 I 🙏 you are all doing well 🙏🇦🇺
Yes, we still have cashmere goats. Thank you for your kind words!
Silly story. I helped our vet castrate a big ole buck one time. Forgot to glove up when prepping him and my hands smelled for a week! Hahaha
Isn’t it dangerous to be up close
No.
Depends on the goat. Some you can get close to and others you can’t . I don’t normally get close to mine. If I do he just get hyped up even more and might swing his head at me. So I just keep my distance
They dont care about the camera person lol 😂
Sweet,video very,beautiful and so sweet I love them 🐆🐆🐅🐅😘🤣🙄😎😋🤩
Where to by this goat meet
Ha Ha he means where to BUY this got MEAT LOL
Dude, give them some space, haha. This is good information for new goat farmers.
I know, right! I'm glad you found it helpful!
whaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaa - omg - soooooooooooooo stunning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Super awesome and informative. Thank you so much. Muchly huggles from South Africa, Johannesburg. QUESTION: Why comb - why not shear?
Shearing takes a special skill that I don’t have. Also, when you comb you get the whole fiber, you don’t take the chance of cutting it short like you do with shears. And the goats still look pretty when you’re done. :)
@@MTNhollow Makes total sense. Thank you so much.
"nooo my beautiful cashmere"
Beautiful Buck
_I think there's a difference from here to the factories in China and Mongolia. Here, the goat is super calm._
Nobody will say so, but it is because the industry here is 1000 times more ethical than the industry in China and Mongolia... Please understand I am not saying every cashmere farmer in continental Asia abuses their goats, but as a whole the level of care given to each goat and the quality of life of each goat is far better in the western world.
@@dolphinlover3001 The same with Alpacas shearing, the industry in south america is so damn cruel!
It’s good you don’t hurt the goat like others do
It's a very nice storage basket. Where did you get it from?
so weird say way people collect dog hair make sweaters seem same way do this. so no shaving them like do sheep?
You could do it more gently, goat isnt enjoing it not even eating what you gave it! Animal cruelty it is
it's not animal cruelty, it's just unnatural to the goat, of course it's not enjoying it, but it's better to have an animal that's groomed an taken care rather than matted mess.
So it's just like combing your dogs.
Yes it is
Thank you. Relieves my mind about the process for the animals. Sugar is adorable!
This was very helpful.
Combing starts at 07:30 You're welcome.
Very informative. Thanks for sharing the knowledge.
Very interesting. Much easier than shearing as in Angora goats. Would love to have some.
After seeing vid of angora rabbits I wonder if uncomfortable for them being combed? What's the comment about kaolin or potato starch powder - does it make them bleed? She seems a placid creature, I guess has had it done many times before.
does not hurt any more than brushing your dog or your own hair. kaolin[white china clay] or potato or corn starch powder are better than commercial with its chems and cost.
Thank you for sharing!
think about using goat coats, the kind that let air through but keep out veg matter?
is it sore pulling goats by their horns?
hurts no more than helping you get up from sitting on the ground by pulling you by the arm to help you get standing. their necks are strong [stronger than your shoulder and arm]
I thought a plane crashed in the background or something, lol.
I was so relieved when she said it was the UPS guy!
Hello, erevyone,we are supplier of dehaired cashmere goat fiber from China. If you have demand or any help, please add skype: weihupeng . Thanks
+peng Weihu Wait, I thought youtube was banned in China. How did you post this?
Liv L Isn't that the only way Chinese can produce good? Destroying their environment to make a few cents per sale? Making shitty products at the end of the day. I get your point.
Good god I wish that woman would quit talking for at least half the video. damn she's annoying
She knows more than you ever will comprehend
Very beautiful goat! Good video~ I have been pondering on getting a cashmere goat.... how would you describe their temperament with people and the other animals on the farm? Are they good milkers? Thanks! :-)
Thank you for sharing.
I enjoyed this video very much thanks for posting this! :)
very nice, well done.
